The "It" Factor - Keeping It Real

Chapter by chapter, Pastor Bobette eloquently rolls back the pages of tradition and myth, inviting the reader all the way back to the Garden of Eden—a more biblically accurate version than I’ve ever had the tools to envision.  She introduces us to an Adam and Eve that actually seem human and relatable … What she offers in The “It” Factor is eureka moment after eureka moment of the hard-hitting truth encounters she has dedicated her life to stewarding and sharing. Throughout this powerful book, she encourages us to roll up our sleeves, get real, and engage with “it,” now that we can finally discover what “it” is.                                                                                       Kat Hubble, entrepreneur and poet

The “It” Factor – Keeping It Real is a living comprehensive study of TRUTH concerning the original design for healthy relationship.  The reader takes a seat at a vacant peephole in the fence around their life and gets a glimpse of “it” – the BIGGER picture. In the beginning, they see God’s personal involvement in the creation and everyday lives of Adam and Eve.  They then journey into the adventure of life, as the first couple knew it. Then, from the seat of eons later, the reader cries out to the couple to resist the hissing creature’s enticement to turn from TRUTH.  Sadly, they ignore our pleas, and angry Adam and enabling Eve end up living out a dysfunctional relationship in a cursed land.

We, their seed, slaves to dysfunction, were born into a land at war with us.  Life happens - relationships are broken, finances fail, and storms (physical and spiritual) come - and we struggle with loving our self, loving others, and (sometimes) loving God.  This book offers a rare glimpse into the often unspoken areas of life, the raw realities where one has the choice (much like the first couple) of becoming bitter or better.

Truth always has at least three perspectives.  When we can align ourselves with “it” (God’s perspective on truth) it enables us to live as He originally intended – wide, open, and free!  Find your seat at the peephole in the fence and watch as Bobette Stubblefield masterfully takes the difficult topics of life’s grievances, heartaches, anger, and hurt and encourages us to roll up our sleeves and get real.

Book Reviews

Bobette writes, "Some people are carefully hand-picked by God to display His works, His character and His glory."  The "It” Factor is an exciting book full of real life love, laughter, grief, and God's glory. Bobette shares the exciting love story of God's first man and woman and the struggles they faced together and how they overcame them; together with how she and her husband, Jesse, have overcome similar struggles, discovering along the way, the power of the "It" Factor.

"It" is a book that brings hope and healing to the reader.  I laughed, cried and loved through every chapter! Read “It” and you will get “It”!   She shares real adventures of living life on the edge in Alaska. The last chapter, "Sanctity of The Moment", is a must read all in one sitting!

The “It” Factor is a real gem for anyone that has had or is dealing with self-esteem issues and difficulty with forgiveness.  Author, Bobette Stubblefield, offers a rare glimpse into the often unspoken areas of life.  What a treasure for readers to have access to the raw realities of life and how one can chose to become bitter or better.

Author Bobette Stubblefield is a Christian that uses scripture and religious domains to anchor her thoughts and perspectives on healing and forgiving one self and those that have harmed us.  How to make sense, in a Christian context, for parts of our lives that don’t always make sense.  Her accounting of personal experiences growing up and how it affected her life trajectory is a story that many of us could share if only we were bold and vulnerable enough as this author was.

Thank you Bobette for being brave, vulnerable and sharing an astute method for finding forgiveness.  Your approach to mental, spiritual and physical health is a model that all Christians can follow.  Thank you for laying the groundwork for the many readers of your book to follow.

The “It” Factor is one of the most easy-to-read books I have ever read on the subject of forgiveness.  Bobette Stubblefield has taken the difficult topic of life’s grievances, anger and hurt and provided a path to follow to a healthy and peaceful conclusion. Well done!

5.0 out of 5 stars   Loved "It"

By Andrea Garris, author of adventure / self help books for ages 7+  (www.bellamorella.com

Format: Paperback

This is a beautiful book. It is well written inviting the reader in from the very first sentence. It is a moving story filled with deep emotions and guidance for renewal, forgiveness, and redemption. The writer does an excellent job of keeping the reader invested in the story. I felt as if I was there within every scene experiencing her journey... in one part the writer has the reader hanging out with the angels peeping through a fence around creation watching God create man... quite an interesting take on this age old story. This writer needs to embrace her calling and start writing book number two. May I humbly suggest a fictional adventure... "It" would be amazing I'm sure.

Love is a funny thing expressed in many ways.. This book defines God's intent on what truly selflessly caring for each other, not just mates, meant. I love the way the author brings you into the Garden and makes you feel what they are thinking. And the real life experiences she shares will make you laugh and cry and cause you not to want to put the book down. Very Uplifting.

5.0 out of 5 stars  A captivating and quick read

By: Sharon Robinson McLeskey

Format: Kindle Edition

In this book are snippets of the author’s life. A life of adventure, coupled with scripture, and it all falls into place. There is no doubt that she IS a survivor.

I have recently read, The "IT" Factor - KEEPING IT REAL by Bobette Stubblefield.  The upside to Hurricane Helene (2024) and with us losing our power, internet, and cell service for 9 days brought about the opportunity to read this amazing book!

I laughed ...I cried...I laughed...I cried.  Bobette describes her beginnings as a Godly mother raising her two young boys.  She had such determination to place God FIRST, with family, husband, and friends.

I think anyone who reads this book (male or female) will relate to an event in their own personal lives, whether they are going through it presently - or about to go through it.

If you are looking for a book that is easy to read and understand - this is for YOU!  Be careful, though, because before you know it, you will be captivated and not want to put it down.  I would highly recommend Pastors and their wives, single men and single women, married couples, and Bible study groups to read this book.  It is all about healthy relationships!  Putting the foundational truths into your lives will live long after reading this book!

Just wanted to tell you how grateful I am to have met you. Often I think of you, while I’m dealing with the ups & downs of life. Your sweet, kind, patient, gentle, loving soft; (yet tough nature), open, Godly person self has helped me tremendously!  You always exhibited the God Love in you to me, and I smile. You were my “Earthly Hero.” I loved all I knew of you and so longed to know you better.

Yet, when “The Church goes bad thing” seems to block some relationships sometimes... I don’t always believe that division is from God, but he doesn't override free will... but I’ve tried everything to get him too!

I just wanted to thank you... 💜

I saw your God commitment and when I was struggling... Your face came to my mind. God has revealed to me things about you. He has often allowed me to feel where another was... and I felt your pain a few times, thru your smiles...

I’m so grateful. As I struggle, your face comes to my mind... why? I think it was God’s way of showing me a heart that was bruised and ran over, yet STOOD!  You STOOD your ground to love though Christ, in spite of your pains and struggles. (I haven’t always been able to do that as much as I wanted...?

Your face glows in my mind and I believe many times, God would use you as a prompt of encouragement to me....saying... “Look!” “See how she pushes on loving in spite of her tired, hurt, past and frustration”. Saying, like you said, “BUCKLE UP & PULL UP your big girl panties!.... and hit your knees and STAND or Walk On!... “JUST LIKE SHE DOES!”.

Thank you for being the God Woman you are so God could use you as an encourager in my life...  I love the person I knew of you... and I love the way God uses you to help me keep my eyes focused on him.

I regret never getting to know you more... I also felt great pain from you at times... many times, in passing, or just throughout days of my life... your name or face came boldly to my mind for me to pray... I don’t know why, but I knew you were in a struggle... I wish we could have been closer... so I could have hugged and loved you back through some of your times of struggle and pain.

I hope this note finds you in a good loving Godly place. I’m reading your book for the 3rd time... looking forward to the next!

What a blessing it (the book) and you have been in my life. I love, miss and pray for you still.
